Prior to WPI I worked at the State of Rhode Island, Information Technology Division where I was responsible for answering phone, email, and walk up requests for service. Providing technical support for customers, prioritization of daily and non-daily issues. Providing one on one support for the Governors and Lt. Governors Offices as needed. I also supported the Paperless System being deployed by the Controller’s Office. Where I performed clerical tasks including mail delivery, retrieval and delivery of records to and from State Records Center, assembled, prepared, imaged and scheduled batch controls of vouchers, purchase orders, internal vouchers and related accounting documents for
electronic storage. And supported all software and Hardware related to the Imaging Project.

My Daily Duties Included but were not limited to:

  1. Providing first line technical support; answering support queries via phone, email and walk up customers 
  2. Maintaining a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhering to all service management principles 
  3. Providing Desk Side and Break Fix Support as needed 
  4. Replacing/upgrading hardware as needed, including Printers, Monitors, Hard drives, Mother Boards, Keyboards 
  5.  Software support including, re-imaging Pcs, Upgrades, manual OS installs and configurations, creation of images. 
  6. Installing/uninstalling software 
  7.  PC OS migration from Windows XP to Windows 7 
  8.  Performed clerical tasks including mail delivery, retrieval and delivery of records to and from State Records Center. 
  9. Assembled, prepared, imaged and scheduled batch controls of vouchers, purchase orders, internal vouchers and related 
  10. accounting documents for electronic storage. 
  11.  Maintained all hardware related to Imaging Project. 
  12.  Cleaned all Scanner peripherals 
  13.  Including dust bins, rollers, lenses, sensors, and guides. 
  14.  Repaired or replaced damaged rollers, lens covers, cables.
